The Modern Foreign Languages Department of Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate Foundation, North Yorkshire, England is seeking a German Language Assistant for the school year 2016-17
Are you a native German speaker with a real passion for German culture and language?
We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, energetic individual to support students working towards GCSE and A-level qualifications. The majority of teaching will be with individual students or small groups, and planned in collaboration with classroom teachers but some time may also be allocated to work within the classroom alongside the teacher.
There is no teaching at the weekends, and Assistants are required to teach approximately twenty 35-minute lessons per week (with one weekday free each week)
Queen Ethelburga’s is a boarding school situated approximately 9 miles from York and accommodation and meals will be provided within the boarding environment.
The successful applicant will be required to carry out duties within the boarding house in the evenings. More detail of this will be available at the next stage of the process.
