Here we will provide you with further information on events or services that we or the International Office offers.
Study Buddy Programme
Apart from our institutional Student Advisor Programme, you can also take part in the Study Buddy Programme. The main difference is that our programme (Student Advisor) only hosts incomings from Europe while the Study Buddy Programme hosts all global incomings.
In this programme, students from Bonn (buddies) accompany newly arrived international students (mentees) as they start their studies and settle into life in Bonn. Tips, advice and support from dedicated buddies make it easier for mentees to get started at university and settle into life in Bonn.

International Classroom
Can I study at the University of Bonn even if I don’t speak perfect German yet? Is it possible to take some classes that are taught in English in order to improve my English skills? To accommodate these wishes, the University of Bonn has developed a supplementary English-language course offering that enables even more international students to do an exchange semester at the University of Bonn while expanding the offering of classes taught in English for its own students.
These interdisciplinary English-language courses for bachelor’s students are offered as part of the University of Bonn’s International Classroom Bonn seminar series, which is designed to promote interaction between University of Bonn students and exchange students visiting the institution.
