Lecture Series: Current Issues in English Language Education
Our students live in a world marked by upheaval, whether due to the global climate crisis or a shift to the political right. Democratic values and global cooperation are being challenged around the world. English language education can address these issues by creating a forum for discourse about global challenges and social goals. This term’s Current Issues Lecture Series is dedicated to the exploration of language education’s social aims, which include, among other things, teaching and learning for human rights and children’s rights, fostering critical media literacy, and ecopedagogies. We are delighted to offer five fantastic workshops/lectures revolving around those issues and look forward to meeting you there!
