Hanna Bruns, a PhD candiate under Prof. Kranich's supervision, has recently published a paper based on her Master's thesis. It is titled "“That’s all it takes to be trans”: counter-strategies to hetero- and transnormative discourse on YouTube" and can be found open access via De Gruyter.

The 18th International Pragmatics Conference was held in Brussels, Belgium, from 9 to 14 July 2023. Svenja Kranich organised a panel called "English address terms in a globalized world: Socio-cultural impact on recent language variation and change". Additionally, Svenja Kranich held a talk with Hanna Bruns titled "Democratization effects on nominal address terms – Sir and Guys in 20th and 21st century American English".
Hanna Bruns also presented on her own a talk called "Connecting socio-cultural developments and language change: Recent variation in gender-inclusivity in the USA and the UK"
